The story becomes more extraordinary with every repetition. That does not logically prove that no person with that name has ever conducted audio work. Real forensic speaker recognition is considerably more cautious than the viral account suggests. Guidance prepared through the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s forensic-science committees describes the task as evaluating whether recordings are more likely to have originated from the same speaker or from different speakers. Automatic systems may generate numerical scores, but those scores must be interpreted under competing hypotheses rather than treated as magical identity percentages.
